Mar-a-Lego: To Build and Gild

Mrs. Grundy is, among many things, a problem solver. Thusly, she has an idea for compromise, despite its current connotation as a profane concept.

Simply put, Mrs. Grundy Thinks Congress must authorize Mar-a-Lego, a Trump-themed Legoland.

This simple investment would move Build and Gild, the Presidential Mullet’s ambitious construction campaign, out of the nation’s capital where it is causing manic frenzy and endless lawsuits.

Mar-a-Lego is such a brilliant idea, Mrs. Grundy would like to present it on Shark Tank, and incite a fierce bidding war among the Sharks.

Of course, it must be the biggest, greatest Legoland the world has ever seen, with gilded bricks, golden sidewalks and rivers flowing liquid gold.

Amusement rides might include the Fiscal House of Mirrors and the Democratic Far-Left-Tilt-a-Whirl. The traditional Lego ride, Arctic Adventure, could be renamed Greenland Ho! Visitors might also tour the Hegseth-Depleted Missile Silos and the JD Vance Chameleon Chamber.

Mrs. Grundy foresees no Republican resistance, unless Democrats insist on locating Mar-a-Lego upon the current site of Mar-a-Lago.

Once the Kalshi bets and gratuitous payoffs are settled, she envisions the Presidential Mullet commanding this amazing Legoland with a golden fist, far away from his pesky critics inside the Capital beltway.

At Mar-a-Lego, he can endlessly design, build, excavate, remodel, gild, regild, rebuild and renovate ballrooms and reflecting pools, theaters named after other U.S. presidents, outdoor sports arenas, national security bunkers, golf courses, airport terminals, even an American Arc de Triomphe.

There could be weekly Build and Gild competitions staged in a central grandstand, with luxury boxes for fawning supplicants on one side, stark bleachers for demoralized opponents on the other.

Not only would Mar-a-Lego help reconcile political opponents, gilded bricks would join Lincoln Logs and the Teddy Bear in the presidential toy pantheon. Mrs. Grundy Thinks this is a golden opportunity for a shrewd investor. Sharks: Who’s in? Indeed.
